Thales Magnifier
Phonostage Plus
As a reference phono-stage with additional features, the THALES MAGNIFIER is most flexible and can be used as a traditional phono-stage with two phono inputs, but it can also become the control centre of your entire hi-end-setup.
The THALES MAGNIFIER works with an open loop circuit without any negative feedback and therefore without time distortion. The entire device is designed as a fully symmetrical DC amplifier in Class A. And even the RIAA equalization is realized via ironless inductors without capacitors, giving full headroom over the entire bandwidth. The housings of the amplifier, the separate power supply and the remote control are machined from solid aluminium.
The two phono inputs are designed for all high-quality pickups and can be configured separately for gain and impedance. They meet the reference approach of the THALES and X-QUISITE products and raise them to a new level by the unique architecture of the electronic circuit. The two additional line-inputs allow the connection of a tape machine or a digital source.
The THALES MAGNIFIER features two independent output-stages, reaching the output connector either via the volume control or with fixed gain. These options allow very flexible use of the THALES MAGNIFIER. You might connect one output stage to your power-amp, and the other one to a recorder, preamplifier or headphone amplifier. Both stages can be operated fully independently so can use both at the same time. If both output-stages are switched off, the devise is muted.
